What I am all about.
I have spent several years in Customer Service roles, but one year ago an unexpected event inspired me to get into front-end development and I am not going to lie, I love it! Maybe partly because I am a bit of a nerd? There is nothing greater than finding solutions to problems, creating something out of nothing by writing clean code and getting deep into the development process.
When I'm not working, I am usually spending time with my wife exploring the food scene in London, playing video games or binging on Netflix. I also love to cook!
If you believe that I can be of help to you and your organisation please get in touch or connect.
Something about my skills.
I write clean and tidy code with comments to know exactly what is going on at a glance, nobody wants to waste their precious time.
I work with mobile first approach and I always make sure that websites I create will run seamlessly on both small and large devices by using Bootstrap or writing code from scratch.
I give a strong emphasis for the ease of use, I like user friendly interfaces, intuitive UX/UI. I want to keep the user on the website for as long as it's required.
I will always help to the best of my ability, but I like to know that someone has my back too. Working as a team and collaborating is really important to me, after all it helps us to learn from one another.
Sometimes bugs are big and sometimes it's just that pesky, little semicolon that is missing. And Git? It's like using a time machine! I wish we could use "undo" in real life!
I'm always looking for new things to learn, I like to keep myself busy and active.
How comfortable I am with:
I've kept myself busy.
My job involves supporting and guiding clients and colleagues to improve their digital capabilities in a workplace and in a digital job market. Providing technical support; answering support queries either on-site or via phone or email, supporting users in the use of computer equipment and software by providing necessary training and advice.
My job involved creating and maintaining good relationships with customers to establish a loyal customer base. Using implemented sales and marketing strategies in order to create leads, supporting colleagues through training, coaching and mentoring, to deliver excellent levels of product knowledge.
Because it was a very small, independent business I had to take on a lot more responsibilities. Apart from standard e-commerce administrator responsibilities, my role also involved creating and maintaining a good communication link between our online customers and the shipping department, processing orders and making sure that every package was prepared and shipped on time. My role also involved being a part of a customer support service by handling complaints, refunds and replacements.
Lazy isn't in my vocabulary.
Currently working towards a master’s degree in Informational Technology.
A short course that I took as auditor outside of my regular syllabus to improve my web development skills.
Final grade: 2:1
After spending six months at EduWeb's bootcamps it was the moment when my journey with web development really kicked off.
This section will grow with time.
This is the website you are looking at right now. I keep improving it by tweaking the responsiveness of the page and adding little improvements here and there, please visit my GitHub account to look at the code here.
She is probably the most difficult client of all time, but please don't tell her... :P
